St Paul’s Counselling Centre works in partnership with GPs and other health care providers. We accept referrals for all mental health conditions, such as Depression, Anxiety and Post Natal Depression.

All Psychologists and Social Workers are registered with Medicare to provide psychological treatment under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative.

In order to ensure that patients are able to claim a rebate, please issue a referral addressed to St Paul’s Counselling Centre and a copy of the patient’s Mental Health Care Plan. Alternatively, please fax the referral and mental health care plan directly to St Paul’s Counselling Centre to:

St Paul’s Counselling Centre’s Clinicians will provide the referring Medical Practitioner with:

An outline of the screening results and

A Treatment plan after the patient’s initial appointment;

A written update regarding the patient’s progress after the 1st, 6th and/or 10th sessions (depending on the duration of treatment).
